[ QKE-AL ] - The Earth Institute Fellows Program provides post-doctoral scholars with a unique opportunity to enhance their foundation in one of the Earth Institute's core disciplines - the earth sciences, biological sciences, engineering sciences, social sciences, and health sciences - while at the same time acquiring the cross-disciplinary expertise and breadth needed to understand and address the causes and consequences of poverty, hunger, disease, and environmental degradation.
Earth Institute Fellows work within the Earth Institute unit best suited to their research interests. To facilitate critical thinking and collaboration, each Fellow is guided by one or more senior scholars. In addition, Fellows attend a unique series of seminars, dinners and special events that explore key interdisciplinary issues, bring Fellows together as a community, and allow Fellows to meet a diverse array of Columbia faculty and researchers. read more...
